Shooting an editorial at Bon Repos Castle was originally just a crazy idea. Bon Repos is currently one of the absolute TOP wedding venues in the Czech Republic. And we had a feeling that we probably wouldn’t get there right away. But I said to myself: “Why not give it a try.” At first it didn’t look like it, but in the end the owners agreed and we had this beautiful castle all to ourselves for one afternoon!
How do you actually make a classic editorial? You come up with a concept, make a moodboard, and visually adjust everything so that it fits together perfectly. But my team and I went about it a little differently – more human and more realistic. The main concept of our editorial was the love of our real-life couple, but then also simplicity and minimalism.
I wanted to organise a wedding editorial photo shoot already last year but as I was still in my old job and worked as a wedding photographer at the same time, I was simply too busy. But as you know, I became a freelancer in spring… I finally had the time.
