I WAS VERY HAPPY TO BE CONTACTED BY CHÂTEAU RATMĚŘICE TO PHOTOGRAPH THEIR PROMOTIONAL EVENT “WEDDING TRY-OUT”. AND THERE WAS DEFINITELY A LOT TO SEE.
I arrived in Ratměřice for the first time thanks to this promotional event, and I can honestly say it is a truly beautiful place — especially the surrounding park with tall sequoia trees that were brought here all the way from California. A wonderful setting for a wedding ceremony, as well as for couple portraits of the newlyweds.
The entire château is a perfect place for both weddings and relaxation — there is a wellness area, and thanks to the adjacent building in Japanese style (which is actually another hotel), there is plenty of accommodation capacity even for very large weddings.
Another thing they are especially proud of is the restaurant located directly inside the château. It is beautiful, luxurious, and the food is excellent. The terrace in front of it offers a lovely space to relax after a great lunch.
It was exactly on this terrace where, during the “wedding try-out,” we were able to present our services to engaged couples. It was an incredibly pleasant afternoon.
On the château terrace, I met several colleagues whom I had already gotten to know at weddings before. I had known saxophonist Radim Nowak from earlier as well — we had met at a corporate event. Together with Alisa’s vocals, the saxophone formed a wonderful duo.
I really enjoyed photographing in Ratměřice — for now, it was also more or less just a try-out for me. But I’m looking forward to returning here soon for a real wedding.
