If you want something, it will come true. That is, if you do something for it, of course. Just like we managed to do with this great team of wedding professionals, which this time was put together by the new wedding coordinator Kseniya alias White Willow. The interesting thing is that I photographed her own wedding this year. That’s how we met. It’s amazing what other stories I write with my clients. Sometimes we become friends, for whom I photograph other life events, sometimes work partners, when I photograph them after the wedding and for their business, but in this case we become colleagues in the wedding business. It hasn’t been like that before. I’m very happy about it.
And what did we achieve together in this case? Shooting an editorial at the Bon Repos Castle was originally an idea from a dreamland. Bon Repos (known, for example, from the show Peče celá země on Czech Television) is currently one of the absolutely TOP wedding locations in the Czech Republic. And we had a feeling that we probably wouldn’t get there right away. But I said to Kseniya, why not try asking if they would let us take a photo shoot here. At first it didn’t seem like it, but in the end the owners agreed and we were very happy that we would have this beautiful, freshly renovated castle all to ourselves for one afternoon!
I also brought my new friend, the analog Nikon 100F, with me for the photo shoot. Since I’ve shown you several somewhat similar editorials lately, this time, for variety, let’s start with photos from analog. You’ll recognize my style in them, but the colors are a little different. The magic of film photos is simply unmistakable. I’m looking forward to taking the analog to a real wedding and supplementing the digital reportage with it. I believe that this will give my work a new dimension.

There’s a certain nostalgic beauty hidden in film photography, don’t you think? Now that we’ve enjoyed the charm of good old analog, let’s dive into the full editorial story — captured digitally.

Meet Kseniya aka White Willow.
